Good to know
Wake up five miles from the Nisqually Entrance to Mount Rainier National Park, lace up your boots, and head straight to some of the most spectacular trails in the Pacific Northwest. This warm, well-appointed cabin is built for adventure — and just as good at helping you recover from it. THE CABIN This modern mountain cabin has an open floor plan that feels spacious and social — great for families who want to be together after a long day on the trails. The layout flows naturally between the living area, dining space, and kitchen, and the whole place is set up with real comfort in mind, not just a place to crash. SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS The cabin sleeps six across three distinct sleeping areas, each with blackout blinds so everyone gets a proper rest — even in the long Pacific Northwest summer evenings. Upstairs king suite — A private king bedroom with its own attached bathroom. Perfect for parents or the couple in the group who earned the upgrade. Downstairs queen bedroom — A comfortable queen room on the main level, with easy bathroom access. Twin loft — Two twin beds tucked into the upstairs loft, open to the living area below. Kids love it up there. A pack-and-play is also available if you're bringing a little one along. THE KITCHEN: This isn't a "boil water and hope for the best" kitchen. It's properly stocked for real cooking — ideal for families who'd rather fuel up right than spend every meal driving into town. Appliances include a countertop oven with air fryer, slow cooker, blender, toaster, and sandwich maker. For coffee, take your pick: drip machine, Keurig, French press, or electric kettle. There's full bakeware, pots and pans, a vegetable chopper, strainers, and all the small things that are easy to forget (foil, parchment paper, kids' plates and cups). If you enjoy cooking, you'll enjoy this kitchen. OUTDOOR OASIS: The backyard is where this cabin really earns its keep after a day on the mountain. The fenced yard gives families peace of mind, and it's set up with everything you need to wind down properly. Soak tired legs in the private hot tub, or step into the outdoor sauna — a welcome addition that's perfect for deep recovery after a long hike. When you're ready for food, fire up the propane grill or gather around the firepit with the group. Outdoor seating throughout. Driving an EV? A Level 2 charger is available in the driveway — plug in overnight and wake up with a full battery. Note: please bring your own Tesla adapter if needed. ENTERTAINMENT AND WORK: High-speed fiber Wi-Fi and a dedicated workspace mean you can squeeze in a remote work session without fighting for a café table in Ashford. When it's time to unwind, there are three TVs, a movie projector for proper movie nights, and a selection of board games. Outdoor lawn games are set up and ready from Memorial Day through Labor Day. The cabin sleeps six comfortably across three bedrooms: a king, a queen, and two twin beds — ideal for families or a crew of trail buddies. Two full bathrooms mean no morning bottlenecks before an early summit push. The well-equipped kitchen is stocked for real cooking, so you can fuel up right before big days out and unwind with a proper meal when you return. After the miles, sink into the private hot tub or the sauna and let your legs thank you. AC and fans keep things comfortable on warmer days, and a Level 2 EV charger means electric vehicle drivers can top off overnight without a second thought. You're positioned perfectly for exploring the region's best outdoor experiences: 🏔️ 5 miles to the Nisqually Entrance — Mount Rainier National Park 🚞 9 miles to the Mount Rainier Scenic Railroad 🥾 Close to the Mt. Tahoma Trails and Ashford's surrounding forest paths Whether you're chasing wildflower meadows, glacier views, or quiet creekside walks, the trailhead is practically your front yard. For families Rainy afternoon? No problem. The cabin has indoor activities to keep everyone entertained. From Memorial Day through Labor Day, outdoor lawn games are set up and ready to go — perfect for kids (and competitive adults) between hikes. Mount Rainier doesn't get any closer than this without a tent. Book the cabin, skip the campground, and still wake up with the park as your backyard. Please note the following: • Smoke alarms, and a fire extinguisher are available in the cabin. • We have exterior security cameras installed. These cameras are facing the front door and the driveway only. There are no cameras in any private spaces. • Our cabin is not childproof.
